The edges of the dies are subjected to strong stress and can exceed the limit of plasticity. Using the principle of thermal shrinkage, we apply a ring to the section of the die in order to reduce its bending under load and, consequently, the stress peak. Thanks to the Shrinking Ring technology, the dies are more stable and their service life can even double. Last but not least, by using a keyed ring it’s possible to reduce the required diameter of the die and / or give full guarantee to a die that would normally crack under load.
